Eligibility for the Cyber Howard Accelerator

The Cyber Howard Accelerator is designed for early-stage cybersecurity companies that are working on innovative solutions for government, defense and commercial markets.

 

Ideal Candidates

  • Startups with a working product such as a prototype, beta version or early production stage
  • Companies focused on GovTech, AI-driven cybersecurity, IT/OT security, defense applications or critical infrastructure protection
  • Businesses that are actively looking to refine their product, develop a go-to-market strategy and secure funding
  • Founders and executive teams committed to actively participating in mentorship, workshops and investor meetings
  • International companies interested in establishing a presence in the U.S. cybersecurity market

    Program Benefits

  • Dedicated workspace at the Technology Advancement Center (TAC) and the Maryland Innovation Center (MIC)
  • Hands-on mentorship from cybersecurity, sales and investment experts

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be U.S.-based companies.
  • Applicants must have a cybersecurity-focused product (software or hardware) designed and developed by their own company; third-party or resold products are not eligible.
  • If the product is not yet ready, a demonstrable prototype will be accepted with clear market research and a defined go-to-market timeline.
  • Applicants must be able to commit to participate at least 10 of the 12 weekly in-person sessions (weekly 2-hour meetings).
